“What are the room dimensions?” asked Hansel.

“Say, ten feet wide by twenty-five feet long,” estimated Adam.

“Concrete planks on masonry bearing walls?” asked Jeff.

“Perhaps, but I’m not sure,” said Adam. “That would be the cheapest structure, but we want to have a grand structure. I envision rooms on the perimeter of the building, with a central atrium in the center.”

“I can see it now!” said Jeff. “So guests will open their room doors and look down to a central atrium? Perhaps several fireplaces made from red sandstone? Yeah, I can see it. I like it.”

“How many stories?” asked Hansel.

“Three would be ideal, Hansel—even four,” said Adam, now on a roll.

“So, Adam, you will prepare a schematic drawing of the . . . what do you call it?” asked Hansel.

“The lodge,” Adam said.

“Okay . . . the lodge. You will prepare a schematic drawing of the lodge. . . . Hey, wait a minute. Maybe we should simply call it The Lodge.”

“Sounds good to me,” said Adam.

“Yeah, me too,” affirmed Jeff.

“The next question is perhaps the hardest,” continued Hansel. “A building this size will cost a lot of money. I’m not sure if we have enough saved to absorb the cost of this project. What do you think, Jeff?”

“I agree, Dad. This one will cost a lot. It will be like building twenty individual homes, but all at once. We’ll have no cash flow to carry us.”

“Hansel, what about this news guy you met—Chet?” asked Adam.

“Yeah, Chet could certainly be involved,” said Hansel. “We need to talk to him about the financial aspects of this project. Also, once we get going, I think we need to get him involved in the promotional aspects, too.”

“You mean like TV commercials?” asked Jeff.

“Perhaps, if that’s what’s necessary. No Bucky Beaver commercials, though.”

Jeff and Adam looked at each other, confused why Hansel mentioned Bucky Beaver.
