Somewhat remotely hidden along the Darß, but no longer a secret, is Born. The little Pomeranian village along the Bodstedter and Saaler Bodden has managed to retain its native-ness of typical thatched buildings much more so than the sea side resorts along the Baltic coast.

Zingst is located at the center of the National Park “Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft”. Looking from the pier, visitors are welcomed by a modern house, inspired by local architecture, the House of the Guest. In place of the old spa house the offers now include year-round art and culture as well as information concerning accommodations and local cycling and hiking trails.
