Chapter 5
I had woken up with a severe pounding headache, which had suddenly eased up and then vanished as I regained my bearings. I could hear the sounds of music echoing loudly outside, and I blinked numerous times as I realized that I was inside a room of sorts, with a soft bed underneath me and it was filled with the scent of so much alcohol that I almost found myself unable to breathe.
“Well, looks like the prince is up!”
I blinked, staring at what I could see was another dark elf, a male one this time, and clearly an NPC. I was glad that NPCs had their health bar visible above them at all times otherwise there was no way I’d be able to tell them from players with how… diverse they all seemed to be.
“Hurry up and get off my bed son, you be costing me money. A bed not used, is a money making opportunity abused.”
Shit, a Dark Elf Pimp. Just when I thought that this world could not get any weirder, they go ahead and shove things like this in my face.
“Where am I?”
He spun, a cane in hand that he used to strike the ground.
“You at the finest spot in Fiend City son! Braeya’s Bar of Bliss and Blessings!”
They weren’t kidding when they said that this game was devoid of anything called decency.
“And you must be Braeya…?”
“Damn right I am son!”
He proceeded to give several pelvic thrusts in my general direction that I could have honestly done without.
“I’m the finest, hottest, most dangerous dark elf to eva’ walk the planet.”
He snapped his fingers from left to right and up to down as he said that, shaking his head to match.
“And you’d best remember that Sinny boy.”
“It’s Sinbad.”
“Boy, you’re in my establishment, on my bed; your name is whatever I say it is.”
I wanted to argue, but then my eyes caught a glimpse of what his level was, and I realized it would not be in my best interests to argue with an NPC that was over three hundred levels higher than me.
So I kept my mouth wisely shut.
“So boy, I heard you looking for some hot n’ heavy loving. Well I’ve got a fine collection of the hottest, smoking elves from you to pick from!”
This could not be happening. Part of me contemplated whether or not this was actually happening. I mean, I knew that I had come into the simulation with this particular purpose in mind, but I had never actually expected it to suddenly just drop in my laps like this.
“W-wait, where’s Ayla? How did I get here?”
Braeya waved off my questions. “Ayla’s a little busy right now sonny. I sent her on a little fetch quest, she’ll be back soon to answer your questions.”
I stared around the room, and then stared back at Baeya, wondering if any of this was making any sense to me. A dystopian world filled with fantasy beings, and now, there was a Dark Elf pimp in front of me, wearing long earrings on his extended elf ears, and actually wearing a purple suit.
