Zach tugged at Terella's hand and mouthed, "We need to find the others."

She nodded and slipped away after him. Zach led her to the pasture they had reserved for the Ibex flock. Terrence was there helping Jean Redfern tend an injured animal.

After checking the area Zach and Terella moved over to them. "What's wrong?" Zach asked.

"Mating dispute," Jean replied. "We had to separate the two males."

"Didn't you hear the shots?" Terella asked.

Terrence finished tying off the bandage he had wrapped around the Bull's shoulder. "Is what we heard? This place echoes so much I wasn't sure. What happened?"

"James L'Roux and his gang attacked the camp," Terella said. "We need to find the others who weren't in camp and warn them before his men find them."

"He sent three of his crew out to look for the rest of us," Zach said.

"Who was taken prisoner?" Jean asked.

"Dulcia, Tori, Matt, Larry, Jennie, Jason, Maria and Oliver. The only injured I saw were Jennie and Larry."

"Doris is probably with the Elfs," Jean said.

"David and Michael went to check on the Raffes," Terrence said.

"We can get Doris to have Cha-Cha put us up on the porch roof," Terella said. "I doubt if they'll look for us up there."

The Elfs were nervous. They found Doris stroking Cha-Cha's trunk and crooning a variation of the chant she had used during the swarm attack.

"Doris, are you alright?" Terella asked.

"I'm okay, but these guys are having fits. What's happening?"

"You remember James L'Roux and his gang?" Terella asked. "Well, they've taken a lot of the crew prisoner. They want the Professor to build them a portal generator. He sent some of his men out to hunt for all of us who weren't in camp when they attacked. Can you get Cha-Cha to put us up on the porch roof?"

"Sure," Doris said. She tapped Cha-Cha's leg, motioning for the Elf to kneel. "I'll boost you up on her back. You first Terella, then Jean and the men."

"You need to come with us," Zach said.

She nodded. When all of them were aboard, she swung herself up in front of Terella. "Hang on, When I give the command to stand, the world is going to rock. Up," she told the Elf, who rose ponderously to her feet. Bella, thinking she had been forgotten jumped up and down against the Elf's leg.

Standing on Cha-Cha's head, Doris boosted Terella up onto the roof. Zach was last. Terrence reached out and grabbed his arm to help him climb the rest of the way.

"Okay, release her," Zach told Doris. Before she could do so, the Elf picked up Bella with her trunk, lifting the Raccibou up to Doris, who handed her off to Terella.

"Good girl, Cha-Cha. Free," Doris told the Elf who moved away from the roof.

"Now what?" Terella asked.

"Let's head for the Raffe enclosure," Zach said.

Unfortunately, when they arrived, David and Michael were standing with their hands in the air because Sebastian and Giraud held them at gun point, while Gilbert searched them for weapons.
