THOMAS JAMES DE LA HUNT (1866–1933) was a lifelong resident of Cannelton, Indiana, and spent his later years researching and writing the history of Perry and surrounding counties. His newspaper column, “The Pocket Periscope,” appeared in the Evansville Courier and Journal. He served as president and secretary of the Southwestern Indiana Historical Society.
