Many Worlds

The first two stories in this section belong to separate, ongoing works of fiction that have not yet been revealed. These are the first glimpses of these worlds and the colorful characters within them.

Blood in the Sand

Julian keeps his life as an assassin separate from that of a sand sage, but when an old friend and ally asks him to find a daughter lost in the desert, Julian will need both halves of himself to save her. Will his affection for the child compromise his ability to do what he must? And will his necessary insubordination draw down upon them the wrath of his dark master?

Darker Demons

There is no greater prison than your mind and no bleaker reality than self-loathing. But, what if you weren't alone in your prison? What if your demons were real? Frank is willing to do anything to quiet the voices of the friends he once slaughtered, but nothing will forgive the sins he's committed at his demon's demand.

Swept Away

"I just moved into my new apartment, and all I want is a few peaceful days to get used to the space. All that goes to H-E-double-hockey-sticks when my peculiar Aunt Milly gives me a strange broom with a mind of its own. What has that superstitious witch gotten me into?"

Lay to Rest

When the walls crumble down, humans tend toward the extremes of their nature, whether heroic or horrific. It is only as the dust settles that one can confront their true self and learn to accept it or defy it. In Lay to Rest, there is no clear path except that of survival. A steadfast father with a crippled daughter and a desperate woman must learn to accept and trust one another in a savage world ravaged by disease and chaos. Everyone has their dark secrets, the evils they have done to endure, but can they live with them when all is laid to bare?

Too Good to be True

This epic poem was published in Ghostlight, The Magazine of Terror: Winter 2016. Though I have written quite a bit of poetry, I am particularly pleased with this descent into madness. I hope you enjoy the inevitable consequence of rampant jealousy and dillusion.
