Benji was warm and comfy and he totally didn't want to wake up. Like at all.

Someone bounced on the bed, though, and a little voice asked, "Bee, Bee, you sick?"

Groaning, he dragged his eyes open. "Button?"

"You have bad dreams?" Carrie climbed up onto Will's side of the bed. "Da fix."

He chuckled softly, determined not to blush or make a big deal of it -- they'd said they weren't going to be freaked out weirdoes in the morning, right?

"Yeah, he did." Like whoa.

Will chuckled, keeping the blanket between Carrie and himself, while still pulling her close. "Hey, baby girl."

"Da!" She wrapped her arms around him.

Benji tried to figure out how we was going to get out of bed without giving away that he was butt naked.

"Mmm." Will nuzzled her neck. "Do you think you can make sure your sisters are still sleeping, very quietly?" Oh, good one. Will really could fix everything. Benji shot the man a grateful smile.

She toddled off, walking exaggeratedly on tiptoes

Will grabbed a pair of sweatpants, tossing them over. "We're basically the same size."

"I'd wear 'em even if we weren't." He got out of bed and shimmied into the sweats before leaning over and giving Will a quick kiss. "Thanks for fixing me last night."

"Thanks for spending the night. I slept like a rock."

"Yeah, me, too. I'm going to go make coffee and uh... pancakes sound good?" He wanted a special breakfast for Will.

"Pancakes sound perfect." Will grinned at him, and for a second, the man looked young, happy. God, Benji could fall in love with that smile.

He grinned back and waved, feeling a touch foolish, but not enough to put a damper on his smile.

Carrie was coming back in. "They sleeping."

"Thanks for checking, button. I'm gonna make pancakes for breakfast. You wanna help?"

"Uh-huh. I make." She grabbed his hand.

"All right! Thank you."

They went downstairs and he started taking out the ingredients as Carrie dragged her little stool over to the counter. They had a routine now when she "helped" him cook.

He heard the sounds of the twins and Will's low voice, then happy squeals. Thank God the man was starting to notice those two. He thought the teething drama had actually been a good thing.

He and Carrie worked easily together, and he felt good down to his bones.

"I found two wet, goofy girls in their beds!"

Benji laughed, giving Will a wide, probably just as goofy, smile.

Carrie snorted, rolled her eyes. "Silly girls."

Benji laughed harder. He knew it was hard, having baby sisters, especially when there were two of them to take up attention.

"Are they silly?" Will came over, kissed Carrie's head.

"Yes!"

Benji tried not to let his wish that Will could give him a kiss, too, show on his face. He concentrated on the pancakes.

"They just look up to their big sister."

Nodding his agreement, he started setting the table. Will did a great job with all three kids when he tried. It made the guy all the more appealing.

"Come on, wiggly babies. In the chair. Da needs his coffee.
