Foreground Interest
Sometime a landscape shot can look completely blank when you shot a wide angle and you have this vast expansive land in front of you with nothing interesting in there. You could try dancing, but that doesnât change things.
Have More D.O.F
Have a smaller aperture. Bigger f number equals small aperture for those new photographers out there. Yet at the same, donât run into the mistake of have smaller aperture as possible. Thatâs what I did when I first started taking landscapes. Because a small aperture like f22, you get diffraction thereby make your shoot softer. Personally, I prefer f16, which is the smallest of this plenty of D.O.F. But you want a small aperture to have a greater development view, more stuffs in focus.
And if you want to have that detail in your landscape, in the background, in the foreground, in the field, to have that depth, you need greater depth of field.
