Selecting the camera settings

At the golden hour you can take pictures in automatic mode if you like. But be sure to take your shots in RAW format, so you can optimize them much better in post-production. This especially applies to white balance, which you don't have to worry about during shooting. For particularly strong contrasts, it is very popular to create an exposure series that you can combine into an HDR image during post-processing. If you use an automatic, camera-internal solution for this, you should note that the result will always be a photo in JPEG format and not in RAW format. Make sure to keep the ISO value as low as possible and adjust the aperture so that you get in focus exactly what you want. So use an open aperture to highlight objects and a closed aperture to focus on all areas from the foreground to the background.
