Mitchell Kanashkevich

Give a Bit of Yourself

If your image of a travel photographer is a rough-and-tumble fellow bombing around Africa on a motorcycle, Mitchell Kanashkevich will fit your fantasy to a tee.

I spoke to Mitchell via Skype while he was in Ethiopia. He travels the world on his own, making his own assignments and selling his photographs where he can.

Collaborate with Others

What allows Mitchell to lead such a nomadic, creative life in part is his ability to talk to just about anyone from just about any culture in the world. And that, in turn, is thanks to his unique approach—he feels strongly that any photograph of a person is a collaboration between the subject and the photographer.
