As we unloaded the trailer at home, Dinah stared at the pile of vintage clothes.

“What are we going to do with all of those?”

“Wash the ones that need it and then I think we'll just leave them in here. I'm going to go ahead with making this my office and maybe I'll make throw pillows out of some of the fabric.”

Dinah nodded without comment and made a laundry pile which she stuffed into one of the Toy Story pillowcases.

“It's been quite an experience,” I said. I didn't think it would be good for either of us to lapse into the silence of denial like we had after the first trip.

“Yeah.” She looked up at me. “I'm glad we did it. Really. I don't want to do it again, but I mean, a bunch of dates really doesn't teach us much about history, does it?”

“No. But you're okay? That guy grabbing you. That was horrible for both of us.”

“I think I'm okay. Not sayin' I won't have nightmares about it. I need to try to remember that it could have been a lot worse.” She shuddered.

I hugged her. “Right. And thank God it wasn't.”

We finished hauling in food and laundry. Dinah said she had homework to do and I decided I'd better go see how Ben's weekend had been. Dinah said she would lock the doors after I left, which I understood.
