Chapter Eleven

The Court of Heaven Votes

The talk among the angels was noisy and intense. Gabriel had already put on his armor, and his sword. The angel Saul had done the same.

“Quiet please!” The Boss shouted.

“By now you all know that Hell has declared war on us.” The Boss continued.

The Boss appeared as an old man with white hair and blue eyes. The robe he had on was also white, and long.

“If it’s war they want, lets’ give it to them!” Gabriel shouted.

Gabriel was a muscular angel. He had golden hair, and fire in his eyes. Gabriel was use to war, the Boss had sent him on many past missions to destroy certain enemies.

“We will drive them back into the depths of Hell well they belong!” Saul shouted.

“Why are you always so quick to choose violence Saul?” The Boss asked.

“We have no choice; it’s them, or us.” Saul answered.

There were five hundred of the Bosses top angels in the courtroom.

“We shall take a vote!” The boss exclaimed.

The boss then had Gabriel pass out paper and pencils to all the angels.

“Vote yes or no for war.” The Boss shouted.

The courtroom became very quiet, and the sound of papers and pencils could be heard among the angels. While the angels were voting, the Boss sat down to take a break. Suddenly, a bright yellow light appeared in front of the Boss.

“Hello Athena.” The Boss said.

“You know my name is not Athena.” The angel who just appeared said.

“I know, but every since you appeared to those Roman soldiers and they gave you a name, I’ve used it.” The Boss said.

If I’m the goddess of wisdom, then I will tell you that war is not wise.” The angel spoke.

The angel’s real name was Angela. The Boss got a kick out of calling her Athena.

“I know Angela, but my son is forcing it on me.” The Boss said.

“You don’t have to fight.” Angela said.

“If we do not fight he will destroy us!” The boss exclaimed.

“Is there no way out of it?” Angela asked.

“There is no way that I can think of.” The Boss replied.

While talking to Angela, Gabriel informed the Boss that all of the votes had been cast. The Boss told Angela that he would speak with her later, and Angela took the form of a yellow light, and was gone. The Boss went to the podium, and counted the votes. After counting the votes, he shouted,

“The votes have been cast, and they say that we go to war!”

After getting the results of the voting, Gabriel flew off to get his troops ready for the war with Hell. In the meantime the Dark One was gathering his troops in Hell. In the deepest part of Hell, The Dark One stood on a mountain of fire to address his troops.

“Look at us, we were once angels!” The Dark One shouted.

“My father has done this to us!” The Dark One continued.

“We want war!” “Ignorance” shouted.

“Dawn your armor and prepare for war!” The Dark One shouted.

The deepest bowels of Hell were awake.
