WHAT ARE YOUR MOST POPULAR BEERS?

We rotate our beers frequently, so there isn’t one particular best seller. Our IPAs are always enjoyed, and our English-style beers are spot on. We try to keep a balanced beer menu that also offers something new and different like a slightly sour beer with a fruity component.

WHICH OF YOUR BEERS ARE YOU PROUDEST OF, AND WHY?

Admiral Simcoe. This was the first beer we brewed on our professional system, and it was made entirely with Admiral malts (the only malting house in California). This well-balanced session IPA was very well received. The malts are all from the California Central Valley; we are really excited to brew many more locally sourced beers!

HAVE ANY OF YOUR BEERS WON AWARDS?

Both our brewers have won many awards in the homebrewing community. We have not yet entered into any competitions.

WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES YOUR BREWERY HAS FACED?

This was a completely self-funded operation; we opened when our kids were one and three years old. Much of the work was done by ourselves and our families, which definitely impacted our timeline. We have a finite amount of interior square footage, and we struggled to meet all code requirements and maintain as much taproom seating as possible. In the end, we were able to create a warm and inviting space in less than a year!
