NEGATIVE

Return the movement arm to the top position by releasing your abdominal muscles slowly, ½ inch by ½ inch.

Be halfway back at 10 seconds and three-quarters back at 15 seconds.

Keep your face relaxed and breathe freely. Do not hold your breath.

Be ready to turn around the movement at the stretched, top position.

POSITIVE

Pull with your elbows and begin shortening the distance between your lower ribs and pelvis.

Keep the movement slow, ½ inch by ½ inch.

Reach the halfway-down position at 10 seconds and three-quarters down at 15 seconds.

Continue to breathe.

Pause briefly in the contracted position at 20 seconds.

Turn around the movement and start the finish negative.
