Honey Balsamic Chicken
I use thigh cutlets for this recipe, but more budget-friendly cuts such as wings or drumsticks would be just as good. Don’t be afraid to use whatever suits your family best. We like to serve this chicken with salads in summer, or with vegetables in the cooler months.
Serves 5 • Preparation 10 mins • Cook 5 hours • Cooker capacity 6 litres
1.5 kg (3 lb 5 oz) chicken pieces
½ cup balsamic vinegar
½ cup honey
½ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
¼ cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1.Place the chicken in the slow cooker. Combine all the other ingredients and pour over the chicken.
2.Cover and cook on low for 5 hours.
