y body is already starting to ache, but in the best way. I feel like Iâve had a brutal workout, and I guess in a way I have. Jared made sure of that in PE class this morning.
Something is different about him today, which has me on edge. Yeah, he seemed like a loose cannon last week, struggling with some sort of demon while trying to get my attention, but now heâs not trying to get my attention at all.
Sure, he paid me attention in PE this morning, but I quickly realised he was taking his aggression out on me. I had to let him. If I didnât, heâd deliver it to someone else who couldnât handle it and heâd probably end up in more trouble than heâs already in.
Because of me.
At recess, I did the cowardly thing and hid in the girlsâ toilets. I figure I owe Jared that much. Hopefully out of sight, out of mind applies here, and he was able to spend his spare time laughing with his mates, instead of seeing me and being reminded of Pikeâs dead body, or the fact that Iâve managed to get him fast tracked into the Marx Crew.
In English, I arrive to find Jared sitting with Marcus, leaving Lexi to sit at my table. He didnât even look up as I walked to sit down, and he stayed quiet the whole lesson. So, naturally, I went back to the girlsâ toilets to hide again at lunch.
I guess heâs finally getting the hint that Iâm not the right girl for him to show an interest in. He knows now that Iâm only here for a short time. He knows Iâm not a good person. So now, he can move on and find a nice girl. Someone he deserves.
The only other interesting thing about today was Abbey in our Textiles class. Normally, sheâs so withdrawn and as quiet as a mouse. Itâs hard to remember sheâs even there half the time. Today, however, she looked distressed. She very publicly wore a split lip, and if Iâm not mistaken, a slightly swollen eye that makeup is working its magic to hide a bruise, I bet. She was also paying no attention to her work, instead texting frantically on her phone, and when the teacher asked her to put her phone away, she packed up her things and ran out of class.
Whatever is going on in her life, it seems to be escalating. I canât help but feel worried about her. She seems like she would be a nice person, but something is going on that is killing her on the inside.
Maybe I should look into her a little more.
Since I skipped dance last night, deciding to take the extra time to chat with Travis, and then feeling unbelievably spent afterwards, I jump on the town bus after school and arrive at the studio with plenty of time to spare. I take my time getting changed, wearing black leggings and a black long sleeve wrap crop.
