“I adore the fact that—unlike digital images—Polaroids are tangible and one-of-a-kind. Once the image ejects, I am holding a photograph of a character—someone who looks like me, but isn’t me at all.

“This is the most accurate self-portrait I have shot to date. Vintage clothing + vintage luggage + vintage furniture + Polaroid camera + beach house (with vintage wallpaper) = 100% me.”
