“Mum!” cried Suzy. “Bertie’s gone green!”

“WHAT?” gasped Mum, turning round.

“He’s going to be sick!” moaned Suzy.

Bertie took deep breaths. He clapped a hand over his mouth. His stomach was heaving like boiling soup.

“STOP THE CAR!” cried Mum.

“Where?” said Dad. “Open the window, Bertie! Take deep breaths!”

Bertie stuck his head out of the window. He took big gulps of air. That helped a little. He sat back down with his head in his hands.
