Chapter Forty
Sebastian gets up and pours me a drink. I donât know what it is. I shoot it down in one gulp. It burns my throat and I protest loudly, much to Sebastianâs delight. He informs me I can have only one shot of vodka now, and as much as I want later. Heâll take care of me, he promises. I trust him explicitly.
âA few more points to get through,â he says from where heâs standing, near the window. âDo you mind if I smoke?â
âYeah, no problem. Iâve never seen you smoke before.â
âIâm trying to quit,â he says, while he brings a cigarette to his lips and flicks open a lighter. He lights it up and blows out a puff. A cloud of smoke swirls in front of him and he squints before taking another deep drag. He moves his glass to the hand holding the cigarette and, fuck me to hell, Iâve seen nothing hotter in my life. He lets his head drop back and blows out again.
All this dark energy swirling around him and mixing with the smoke is turning my regular desperation for him into the darkest form of lust Iâve ever experienced. Sebastian makes me feel all kinds of things but seeing him like this, drink in one hand, smoke in the other and his face filled with the pleasure of his cigarette⦠fuck, I feel like the worst kind of sinner destined for hell.
Heâs managed to steer us away from the painfully embarrassing knife/blood play talk from a few minutes ago.
Sebastian takes a seat across from where Iâm sitting. He sets his glass on the coffee table and leans all the way into the sofa, his legs spread open. He takes another drag of his cigarette. Heâs moved so seamlessly from gentle and considerate to dark and watchful.
âAs long as we are inside this apartment,â he says, âyou are my submissive, before and after Iâve called an end to the scene. Iâll use the word scene to indicate that whatever play weâve agreed upon is about to begin. In this apartment, youâll do as I say, without question. You are only allowed to clarify if you donât understand. We can have conversations, eat, drink and generally have a good time, as long as you do as I say.
When I ask a question, I expect a verbal answer at all times. Your clear communication is imperative. Inside a scene, your safe word is not the only gage I will use. Iâll use your body language too. If I notice something is wrong and youâre not using your safe word, I will ask you how youâre feeling and I will need a verbal, honest answer. Do you understand, Colt?â
I nod.
âIf you disobey my instructionsâsuch as giving me a non-verbal response to a questionâ Iâll punish you.â His eyes harden.
I swallow. âY-yes, Sebastian.â
âGood.â Another drag of his cigarette.
âYou will not be permitted to move your body while Iâm touching you, unless I say so. You may not look at me until I say so.
