Chapter 7

So many emotions surged through Roses veins as she sat and stared at Declan.

He was one of the most insufferable assholes that she’d ever met!

She’d only been working for him for three days and already she was contemplating poisoning his coffee.

Just who in the hell did he think that he was?

Did he think that money allowed him to treat people however he saw fit?

Well, okay, she wasn’t truly thinking about poisoning his coffee.

Wait, okay, maybe she was thinking about it but it wasn’t a real option for her.

The thought just made her feel better.

She didn’t want to kill him; she just wanted to give him a horrible couple of hours.

She heard that a few drops of a laxative could have someone on the toilet for quite sometime but she wasn’t cruel enough to find out.

He was so lucky.

“So I hope that we have a clear understanding now Ms. Anderson,” Declan said with a bite.

He only called her Ms. Anderson when he was scolding her.

She was new!

There was going to be a learning curve.

How in the hell was she supposed to know that he only liked Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee?

There were three different kinds by the coffee maker so she picked one! It was coffee, what was his problem?

“Yes, we have an understanding Mr. Thorne,” Rose said with a fake smile plastered to her face.

Declan looked at her almost as if he were seeing right through her, “Are you upset?”

“What do you mean?” she asked.

“I mean exactly what I asked. Are you upset about what I’ve said? Do you not think that you can handle that very simple request? Are my preferences too much for you to handle?” he asked.

Oh, she knew his preferences just fine.

She knew about the kind of moans that dripped from his lips when her mouth was wrapped around his cock, but she kept that to herself.

It wasn’t the kind of conversation that people should have at work.

How in the hell couldn’t he recognize her?

How did he not remember her?

Her!

Bastard.

They had the most amazing sex and he looked saddened when she told him that she had to leave.

Now, it was as if he had amnesia.

Yes, maybe that’s what it was.

A huge boulder hit him on top of that beautiful head of his and he forgot a few things.

Not only did he forget a few things, he also had a huge change in personality. It happened in people that suffered from dementia, right?

Sometimes they would become irate and insufferable but it wasn’t their fault.

“No, it’s not a problem for me. I’m learning as I go along. I’m new so it will take me a little time to learn the ropes. I can assure you that I’m a quick learner,” Rose said.

“Apparently, you aren’t quick enough. If all else fails, I’ll have Hannah train you. I thought that you said you had experience,” Declan verbally jabbed.

“I have experience in dealing with a multitude of personality types and catering to those types.” Her voice was monotone.

It was the only way that she could get through the conversation without screaming.
