A few hours later, Zack reckoned it time to do some work on the palace and spend some of the food they had acquired. Sitting on the throne, he brought up the house upgrades panel into his field of view.

He had 2433 meals total split between his storage and Inventory as well as a further 200 in the tax vault. Shit, I’m rich!

Too bad he would burn through it fast once he started on the upgrades.

At this point, he still needed to focus on upgrades that had practical applications. Part of him regretted spending meals on a Pet Pen, as he hadn’t yet gotten around to check on the pets and had completely left them in the care of Margery. They’d have been better off sitting in storage!

Speaking of the old woman, Zack unlocked her ability to make weapon kits (-300 meals). For her to make them, she required a crafting table, so he bought one of them, too (-500 meals). Then he purchased 22 of the kits (440 meals), two for each of his harem.

He glanced at the item description of the kits.
