Over the course of six months, people opposed to the presence of Bi-Genetic humans came out of the shadows in force but found their voices combating the opinions of the masses. Even some factions of the LGBT community, known for its tolerance of others, came out against the new species. They were seen not only as alien by-products, but not falling in the category of gay or lesbian since they assumed all Bi- Genetics could just choose a gender.

Aliens travelling to different countries, learning each culture, were surprised by the onslaught of prejudice and hatred. It was not something they understood. Vitriol was rampant in the United States. Professor Lancaster didn’t know how much more he could take. It seemed like the world had slid backwards instead of leaping forward. A chance arose to have a sit down with a small group visiting from the Russia ship so he decided to pick their brains. He chose a restaurant located on the forty second floor of a prominent hotel with a sprawling view of the city at midday.

They sat at a table close to the window enjoying a staple business meal; Steak with all the fixings. Professor Lancaster watched the four extremely tall soldiers take small attentive bites to ensure they tasted every flavor. It still fascinated him that these aliens were of a similar carbon base like humans yet so very different.

“Why is there such strife among your own people?” The seemingly young soldier asked abruptly after he finished chewing. The group had researched an article on restaurant etiquette before ordering.

“Don’t you have factions in your system who pit themselves against authority or issues that are not deemed beneficial to society?” Professor Lancaster asked.

“Of course, but we do not wage war against ourselves. Our enemies manifest in other races from different planets.”

“But, you have people of different,” Professor Lancaster struggled for the right word, “attributes, like skin color, eye color and so forth.”

“Yes. But, what does that have to do with anything? We are all Karysilan.”

Professor Lancaster was speechless. Compared to them, Humans were primitive, petty and weak minded. He began to think his race was undeserving to be defended by them. Organizations for world peace had been saying that very thing for as long as he could remember and now aliens were making the case.

“And,” the soldier next to him added, “Why is there such an uproar over our offspring?”

“Well, because some of them are capable of changing their gender.”

“So? It is the nature of a species to adapt to the situation when necessary. Many of our warriors are taken out of battle to raise children and learn civilian ways of life to understand why we defend our kind.”

“Is that so?” Professor Lancaster sat up straighter.

“When you find a mate, it is only a matter of time before you decide to procreate.”

“I am quite humbled. I just wish our race had the same sentiment.”

“Since it is a new era of your kind, it may take some time.”

“But, that is not something we have if what your Captain Darnizva hinted at is true.
