And it lasted for eight days, eight really fucked up days, the worst eight days of my life.

But alas, it ended. They took us off Isolation and put us on Restrictions, as a way to transition us back to reality. Finally, I made it out, back to General Population. It was the most grueling eight days of my life, but now it was over. I was even happy to be back in my dormitory my first night back. Man, gettin outa here ain’t gonna be so easy… So I just wrote a buncha poems and read a buncha books about religion and meditated and tried to keep myself calm for as many days and weeks as I could.
