Chapter Twelve
Sasha
As much as Sasha disapproved of Bailey spending so much time at Mollyâs, she had to admit that it was glorious to have the house to herself on the weekends she was there. No Angela underfoot chasing a bored Bailey while Sasha tried to have a relaxing Saturday. No waking up early on Sunday with Bailey demanding Donnyâs attention. This morning, she moved closer to Donny, pressing her body against his until he began to rouse and respond to her caresses.
âGood morning,â he whispered, flipping around to face her and put his arms around her. âThis is nice.â
It had been almost two weeks since theyâd last made love, and Sasha needed to fix that. Usually, she was vigilant about keeping him satisfiedâafter all, there were plenty of women whoâd love the chanceâbut lately sheâd been too stressed to make the effort. He was a good lover, thoughtful and energetic, but after almost eight years together, the excitement was gone. Sasha was all about the chase, and she already had Donny firmly in her grip. But as her mother had always reminded her, if you donât pay attention to your man, someone else will. So she pretended it was years ago, back when sheâd set her sights on him and went to extraordinary measures to entice him away from his wife. Pushing him down, she straddled him and put her lips on his, teasing him with her tongue. Sheâd already brushed her teeth and gargled. He hadnât, but that was okay; she wasnât going to be up here for long.
âLie back and relax, lover boy,â she said as she slid down. She knew most wives didnât bother with this anymore, but she wasnât stupid. Men loved it, and it was a small price to pay to ensure that her husband wasnât tempted to look elsewhere. When sheâd finished, she curled up next to him, her head on his chest, and closed her eyes.
âI love you, babe,â he whispered as he drifted back to sleep.
They were up and showered a few hours later, on their way to brunch at Perch. Donny was in a good mood, naturally, and couldnât stop smiling at her all morning. He was a regular there, and they were seated immediately despite the line of waiting diners. She loved the view from the rooftop at Perch. Sitting up here and surveying Los Angeles, she always felt as though sheâd finally arrived. It was a gorgeous day, sun shining brightly with just enough of a breeze to cool the heat of the sun.
âBellinis or mimosas?â Donny asked.
âBellinis. But tell them to make it with Dom,â she said, looking around to see who was around.
âOf course. The usual for brunch?â
Donny ordered them the fruit plate and avocado toast. When their drinks arrived, he raised his glass to Sasha.
âTo my sexy wife.â He grinned at her.
âRight back atcha,â she said and took a long sip. She sat up straight and smoothed her hair as Ian Johns, Hollywoodâs newest heartthrob, stopped at their table.
