“Do you want some breakfast?” Spencer asks.

I roll over in bed and rub my eyes while yawning. I slept like a log last night… which probably has something to do with the jet lag I’m still feeling.

Spencer ordered some room service, which was just delivered. I hid under the sheets as the guy came into our room to deliver it. I sit up in bed and grab my bathrobe from the nightstand. I put it on and walk over to the table to see what he ordered.

“Sure… I’m hungry. What about you?”

Spencer sits down in one chair and I take the other.

“Yeah… I’m famished.”

We just had a light snack in the bar last night when we got back, neither of us was in the mood for a big meal since it was almost eight. I feel asleep within minutes of climbing into bed and didn’t wake up until a few minutes ago.

“So am I,” I say.

He lifts the lids off the food and passes me one of the plates. They look identical. Each has two slices of toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. A very American looking breakfast considering where we are, but it smells divine.

“Thanks for ordering breakfast,” I say.

“Of course.”

Spencer pours himself a cup of coffee and then offers some to me.

“I’m good, thanks.”

“Orange juice?” he asks.

“Sure.”

He pours me a glass and passes it across the table. I take a sip. Freshly squeezed with lots of pulp. Nice.

“Did I wake you this morning?” he asks.

“No… why?”

“Oh… I got up a couple of hours ago and went for a run. I was trying to be as quiet as possible.”

“Aww… you’re cute… but I was out cold.”

“Good… I figured you could use the sleep.”

“Baby.”

He smiles as he takes a bite of toast and slowly chews it.

“What time is it?” I ask, as I look around the room for a clock.

“Like… just before eight.”

I nod and eat some of my eggs. I’m starting to feel like I live in hotels and never eat anywhere else, but at least this food is good… much better than the hotel in Miami, that’s for sure.

“So, were you serious about buying one of those cars when you get home?” I ask.

“I’m thinking about it… why?”

“Oh… just curious.”

“It was pretty special.”

“I liked how it looked… and it seemed nice when you picked me up in Bucharest in the same kind of car.”

“I do like the R8,” Spencer says.

“Maybe you should get one. They can’t be that expensive… right?”

“No… I mean… they aren’t cheap by any stretch of the imagination… but not nearly as expensive as the Porsche 918… or something like that.”

“Yeah… I get it… but you should really get what you want.”

“I know. I could afford to buy one… but I… I’m trying to not go crazy spending money.”

I eat a piece of bacon and have a sip of orange juice. I’m not exactly sure how much Spencer is getting as a base salary for the films he’s doing… but I do know he’s supposed to get a percentage of the box office, which should be quite a lot of money.
