AUDITORIUM, LONG BEACH, CALIFORNIA. The handwritten note on the card reads: “Where we sang yesterday. Went there by trolley. Two private cars with lovely sofas, etc. Then back to Los Angeles to sleep, after the evening show. We are on the train for Bakerfield. Got up at six and we have slept on the train a good deal. Are going over sandy desert again with great mountains dropped down everywhere in rows and set down singly....” (P/P: M. Rieder, Los Angeles & Dresden. No. 9033.)
