Same Abraham well digging and confrontation with Abimelech story now applied to to Isaac

Relax, it's a cute little literary trick that allows the bible to repeat a story about Abraham and apply it to Isaac, is all. That's why the Philistines had to fill in the wells, so Isaac could dig the same wells and give them the same names that Abraham did.

Sometimes the bible tries a little too hard, know what I mean?

This idiotic chapter ends with forty year old Esau marrying not one, but two Hittite women, Judith and Basemath, and this really pissed off Isaac and Rebekah, but no big deal is made of it.
