The main event of WrestleMania II was scheduled for the Los Angeles Sports Arena in April 1986. Vince McMahon set it up that I’d be facing King Kong Bundy, a guy who was four hundred fifty pounds with a bald head and shaved eyebrows, and was one of the more menacing heels we had at the time.
A few months earlier, Bundy hurt me real bad. I was hunched face first over the turnbuckle and another bad guy named the Magnificent Muraco was standing on the ring apron, holding my arms outside the ring.
Bundy was supposed to run into me and squash me, then back up and squash me a second time. It was supposed to look like he had injured me.
