Writer/star Simon Pegg and his frequent collaborator, director Edgar Wright, are lifelong fans of the Zed-word genre. In fact, if you check out Spaced, a television show created and written by Pegg, Wright, and Jessica Hynes, you’ll see that the episode “Art” is filled with some subtle nods to classic zombie moments (and some not-so-subtle nods when Simon Pegg’s character starts hallucinating that there are undead all around him). Spaced is good for more than zombie references, though. It’s a fast-paced comedy exploding with love for all things geeky. The cast is great, and Wright directs each episode with the kind of aggressively kinetic energy he’s become famous for.
