Brandi had enough street smarts to know when she was being followed. She tried to duck out of sight and catch a glimpse of who was so interested in her, but she failed at every turn. She continued to make her deliveries and go about her business, although carefully. She couldn’t talk to Ashley about her fears. She heard too much and didn’t want to put Ashley at risk. And talking to her would definitely put her at risk. She loved her newly formed friend too much to do that. Unfortunately, Ashley misunderstood and thought she had done something to offend her. That was the furthest thing from the truth but Brandi could not tell her.

To make matters worse, Ashley was getting too close with Brett. She knew how Brett worked and as soon as Ashley gave in and slept with him, he would become all business with her. Brandi had to hand it to her though, she must still be holding out cause Ashley was still in good with him. That, and the fact that Brett must be seething inside, made her smile. Good for her.

She stopped her daydreaming just as a hand reached from behind her and covered her mouth. Her eyes suddenly seemed heavy and closed against her will. When she woke up, she found her hands and feet bound, her mouth taped, and a blind fold over her eyes. She was lying in the back of a van that was traveling at a high speed. Her days of being a courier were over. She had no doubt where she was headed.
