Alan Pauls (Buenos Aires,1959) ha enseñado teoría literaria en la universidad, ha sido guionista y crítico de cine y actualmente trabaja como periodista en Radar, suplemento dominical del diario porteño Página/12. Ha publicado tres libros de ficción: El pudor del pornógrafo, El coloquio y Wasabi (que Anagrama reeditará en 2004), con traducciones al francés y al portugués, así como ensayos sobre la obra de Manuel Puig, sobre Lino Palacio, el clásico del humor gráfico argentino, sobre el género del diario, y sobre la obra de Jorge Luis Borges (El factor Borges). Su relato «El caso Berciani» forma parte de Buenos Aires, la antología de nueva ficción argentina compilada por Juan Forn, publicada por Anagrama.
