Between 1929 and 1945, the Pacific Whaling Company sent train cars around the country with embalmed whales for exhibition. Shown here are two postcards of the same exhibition.
This photograph shows an exhibition tank being loaded to or from a truck trailer in Canada. Whales were known to have been purchased from the California Whaling Company in San Pedro. It is also possible that whales were purchased from a company operating out of Vancouver Island, Canada.
This is the Heinz Pier in Atlantic City. At right is a train exhibit car on the railroad track.
