Chapter Seven

I don’t know why I’m in his house at this point, but I have to blame it on the hormones. When he asked me to come back to his home, I knew what that could have meant and where it could be leading. I’m not sure if that’s what I wanted to happen, but I do know that I don’t really care. I just want him by my side at this point and I don’t care what I have to do to keep him there.

If anything, I’ll just pull him in even closer and be done with it.

I’m not sure if I’m going to even be adequate enough for him or figure out what kind of desires he has. We haven’t even told each other what we like from the other partner. What if we don’t work in the bedroom? He’s a big man, I’m sure he likes the freakiest of things. It wouldn’t surprise me. He seems a little nervous to be bringing me into his home and I don’t quite know how I feel about that. It’s like he is worried about me seeing something and that makes me wonder what he could be hiding out here. It could be one of the worst things, but I wouldn’t have cared so much. It’s not a big deal about what he likes so long it doesn’t have anything to do with murdering people.

Because he is the leader of a MC, I’m sure that he has done things that I wouldn’t have necessarily approved of but I’m not going to get mad at him about it. With these MC’s, there are things that happen and codes that they live by. If another group is being assholes, then they have every right to defend themselves. I just hope it doesn’t end in death because that could really be a stupid thing to kill over but I can’t say much about it. I’ve not had the best of pasts and I can admit that without trying to hide it.

“What are you thinking about?” Maddox asks me curiously, shutting the front door and locking it.

He’s shrugging off his jacket, hanging it up before toeing off his shoes, leaving them by the door. I follow suit because I want to follow the rules of his house, seeing the pleased look on his face when I do so. My heart soars in my chest, nervously gnawing on my bottom lip as I watch him carefully through my eyelashes, seeing how he is looking around and picking things up when he doesn’t think I’m looking. It is really cute if I’m being honest, and it makes me want him even more. I never thought that I could like someone as much as I like him right now but it’s true.

Maddox is different from the rest of the guys in town and there’s no doubt about it. He might be older, but he knows how to treat a lady right and makes sure that I’m treated with respect.
