If you are sitting in a chair, sit on the edge—do not lean back. Tuck your toes under so your thighs are inclined forward slightly; if your feet don’t reach the floor, put a pillow or book under them. If you are sitting on your feet, a small pillow under your ankles and another under your hips will be more comfortable (F). You can also straddle a firm pillow so that your legs are slightly separated (G).
Try each of these seated positions and see which feels most comfortable. Spend time on this now, and you will be rewarded by easier and more comfortable breathing practice.
