P is for... Pear Drops
Pear drops are another sweet-shop favourite which work wonderfully as a flavour in homemade liqueurs. Their distinctive flavour, and vibrant colour creates a lovely jewel-toned liqueur which can be enjoyed on its own, or as a long drink when mixed with soda water.
Pear Drops
Ingredients
1 cup pear drops
4 cups vodka
Method
Simply place the pear drops into a sterilised bottle and top up with vodka. Seal the bottle immediately.
Leave the liqueur to infuse for a minimum of two weeks, turning the bottles every other day to assist infusion.
