Say something like this: Even if we didn’t have a calendar that listed every goofy holiday ever created, we would still have reason to treat every day like it’s special. Have someone read Psalm 118:24 (“This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it,” ESV).

Ask, How is today different from yesterday? If no one else mentions it, point out that it’s different in every way. Every sunrise brings with it a do-over. No matter what happened yesterday, today offers a fresh start—new blessings, new opportunities, new encounters, new experiences.

Ask, How can we rejoice and be glad for this day that God has given us? If no one else mentions it, suggest that you can pray—and then do just that. Praise God for His gift of a new day. Ask Him to give you the wisdom and courage to wring every bit of blessing from it.
