Maple-Spice Buckwheat Shake

115 peanut butter dreams

2½ tablespoons salted peanut butter

2 fresh or frozen bananas

1 cup vanilla soy milk

Maple syrup or agave syrup to taste (optional)

Pinch of ground cinnamon

BOOST IT: 1 to 2 tablespoons soy yogurt or a scoop of vegan protein powder

I dream of . . . peanut butter. And I like a lot of it swirled into my peanut butter–banana shakes. But you can start with one spoonful and then add more if you dare. Peanuts contain more protein than any other nut (though they are actually a legume). And protein helps you repair and grow muscle mass.

DIRECTIONS: Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend from low to high until frosty smooth.
