1 Place oranges, strawberries, blueberries, flax meal, and ½ cup coconut milk in a blender, and blend at high speed until smooth.

2 Add remaining ½ cup coconut milk, and blend until smoothie is the desired consistency.

GREEN TIP: Edible Gardening

You can grow beautiful plants in front of your house, and they can be functional and edible as well. Edible plants that produce vibrant-colored flowers and year-round green foliage can replace plants that are decorative only. Try planting asparagus ferns, sunflowers, chives, artichokes, rose hips, the American groundnut, figs, chard, nasturtium flowers, elderberries, passionflowers, rhubarb, or pansies. All these are not only beautiful but edible, too. Add any one of these to smoothies and your yard will serve a greater purpose than just looking nice.
