DUMBBELL PLIÃ HEEL TAPS
TARGETS: Quads, butt, outer thighs, calves
A. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, toes turned outward and spine long, holding dumbbells on top of thighs. Bend knees, lowering body straight down for 4 counts.
B. Stand up in 2 counts, coming up halfway on count 1, then gently tapping left heel twice on right for count 2. Step back out and repeat 8 times. Switch sides and repeat, this time tapping with right heel on left for final 8 reps.
GOOD FORM TIP:
Keep your tailbone tucked under your torso. If your hips are tight, ease into the movementâit may take some practice to move further into the plié.
