Forgiveness
Forgiveness is not something we do for someone else. We do it for ourselves, so that we can find peace and go through each day with joy rather than dwelling on a person or event that caused us pain.
The pain happened, and it's not necessary to forget it. By forgiving, we simply choose to stop suffering.
Be forgiving on the mat today. Forgive yourself for not starting a yoga practice 20 years ago, forgive yourself for the extra cookie you ate or the harsh words you said to someone. Don't allow your past painful actions to continue to make you suffer. Each moment is a new moment, a new opportunity.
