Filling in sections of the frame (or the entire frame) is a fun and easy way to bring more attention to your Dingbatz shape.

Another way to enhance a frame is to fill it in with a tangle, such as Tipple. Tipple is a flexible, organic tangle that is great for filling in spaces. The tangle, used to the left in the image above, is made of small orbs placed next to each other. The spaces in between the orbs can be colored to add more depth. The sizes of the orbs can be adjusted to create more visual interest as well. You can also fill a frame with other tangles or other designs, such as zig-zag triangles, upside-down U shapes, or simply a series of dots. By varying the width of the frame, you can also create bigger spaces in which to add shapes, designs, or other tangles.

Ultimately, the frame can be as quiet or as loud as you want it to be. It can be the silent partner that lets its inner design step forward, or it can speak loudly, saying, “See me before you see anything that I contain!”
