2. Pin the zipper pocket to the linen bag body, aligning the bottom edges. Trace the round corner using the body pattern. Stitch around the sides and bottom of the unit with an ⅛˝ seam to attach the pocket to the linen rectangle. Trim the excess. Mark the bottom center. | B

3. Topstitch the other side of the lace zipper to the linen.

MAKE THE OPEN POCKET

Pin the open pocket to the front of the other linen bag body, aligning the bottom edges. Trace the round corners, stitch, and trim the excess as in Make the Zippered Pocket, Step 2 (at left). Mark the bottom center and set aside.

ASSEMBLE THE BAG

1. Trace both ends of the gusset using the gusset top pattern. Mark the center of the gusset lengthwise; it should be 12½˝ from the end. Matching up the marked centers, pin the gusset to the zipper pocket unit. | C
