Planning with colleagues often generates new and exciting ways to present and teach science.

At this point you recognize the 5E approach because each chapter in this book is organized using it. The phases are Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate. It’s impossible to fully model each of these elements within a chapter without the opportunity to engage in discussion with you personally, but if you have paid attention to the structure of the phases in each chapter, you may have already begun to internalize some of the elements of the 5E inquiry approach. Now it’s time to examine 5E inquiry lessons in more detail.
