Dip the paintbrush into the masking fluid and apply it to the subject. Be very careful to follow the edges with precision and cover the subject with a thin layer.
The masking fluid looks milky when wet but will become semi-transparent as it dries.
Once the masking fluid is completely dry, you can start painting.
Since this is a book about woodburning, I wonât delve into the details of watercolor art. There are many wonderful books dedicated to watercolors, so Iâll be showing a simple wash in this example. These are my supplies for the project; at the minimum youâll need watercolor paints, brushes, a palette, and water.
