plywood facing the inside of the cabinet. Drill the holes and drive the screws.

6 Cut the plywood back (J) to size. The top of the back panel should be flush with the top of the top panel (H, I) and flush with the bottom of the bottom panel (H, I). See the Base detail accompanying the Exploded View drawing for reference. Drill the mounting holes, and screw the back panel in place.

Add the walnut molding

1 Cut two pieces of W-thick walnut to 2 X 96" long for trim pieces K, L, M and two pieces to 1 X 96" for N, O, P.

2 Rout a Vi" cove along one edge of both pieces of the l"-wide stock. Switch bits, and rout a pair of W round-overs along one edge of the 2"-wide stock.

3 Mark a reference line on the top and bottom panels Va" back from

the front edges where shown as a dashed line on the Exploded View drawing.

4 Miter-cut the trim pieces to length, drill pilot holes, and glue and nail pieces K, L, and M to the top and bottom of the cabinet, keeping the back edges of the trim pieces flush with the marked reference line. Then, add the coved trim pieces N, O, and P.

5 Measure the distance between the two K trim pieces, and cut the back trim piece (Q) to fit between them.

Attach the shelf standards and mirrors

I Hacksaw four shelf standards (two brown and two cadmium-plated) to 27" long. Be careful when cutting that the notches align from the bottom up for level-sitting shelves later.

A CREDENZA WITH CHARISMA

2 Remove the back panel (J) from the cabinet assembly. Stain the front face of the panel with walnut stain.

3 Position the back panel on your workbench, and attach the cadmium-plated standards to the back panel where shown on the Section View drawing. (Although the standards come with mounting nails, we used wood screws to ensure the standards wouldn't work loose.) Screw the brown-colored standards to the back surface of the side frames (A) where shown on the Exploded View drawing. (We found that the brown standards were less obvious than the cadmium-plated standards in the mirror's reflection.)

4 Have the back mirrors cut to the sizes listed on the Exploded View drawing. (Remeasure to make sure yours will be the same size.) Place heavy-duty mounting tape (we used 3M double-sided foam tape, catalog no. 110) along all back edges of each mirror. Adhere the mirrors to the panel.

5 Mount the hinges to the doors and then to the side frames where located on the Door and Side Frames drawing. Drill the hole for each pull. (We used two nails supplied with the pull.) Then, add a #4xV£" brass roundhead wood screw in the center hole. (We were afraid that if we used just nails for the pulls that they'd work loose over time.)

Add the cabinet top mirror supports and door stops

1 Cut the countertop mirror supports (R, S, T, U) to size.

2 Glue the supports in place where shown on the Exploded View drawing.
