This is an interesting topic to be discussed. First, let’s start with purely physical facts. Hormones do play a vital role in our lives. Some time ago, when I started reading about the influence of hormones to our overall state, psychological mainly, I was shocked that we are influenced by some kinds of hormones during the entire month. PMS, then, standing for PRE and POST-menstrual syndrome, and it lasts all the time.

Furthermore, I had a roommate once who told me that our periods after some time would begin to coincide. She had a theory that when two women are close and share a flat, their periods start coinciding after some time. That is how influential hormones are.

So, I guess it is possible; not possible, but probable, that there are some hormones that very strongly influence us. I have never thought that there is some regularity to this, but then again, I never thought of it intensely. I can just say that we need sex the most when we have our periods, but I always kind of thought that this is the case because we don’t have it then.
