Jellyfish

They’ve been around for millions of years and come in so many different color combinations—from pink, to blue, to purple, to yellow. Feel free to experiment with different colors or stick with the yellow-toned jellyfish as shown here!

Color Chart

Supplies

• Round brush (size 6 works well)

• 4 colors of paint

• Fine detail brush

• White ink pen

1. Using your round brush, paint the tops of the jellyfish with Gamboge Hue and let them dry.

2. Using Yellow Ochre, paint an outline around the edges of the yellow heads. With a fine detail brush, paint vertical lines starting at the top center and expanding out evenly along the bottom.

3. With a more diluted shade of Gamboge Hue (i.e., using more water), dab on the “confetti-like” body. Let it dry.

4. Add dabs of Indigo and Permanent Rose to the confetti area too!

5. When everything is dry, use your fine detail brush to paint long strands of Permanent Rose from the bottom of the jellyfish heads.

6. Use your white ink pen to add highlight details on the yellow heads.
