38 The bout linings will consist of three layers of ¼”wide, 1/32” thick veneer. Position the form/rib assembly as shown in Figure 3-16. Bend a strip of the veneer around the inside edge of one rib between the lower end-block and a lower corner block. Mark and cut the strip to that length. Glue the strip in place using numerous closely spaced clothespins as clamps.

39 Repeat this process for the other lower bout lining.

40 Cut, glue, and clamp the center bout linings next.

41 Cut, glue, and clamp the linings for the upper bouts.

42 When the glue holding the first layer of linings is dry, repeat Steps 38-41 to add a second layer of veneer strips.

43 Cut, glue, and clamp a third layer of veneer strips on top of the second layer. These three layers form very strong, laminated linings on the upper edges of the ribs (Figure 3-17).
