1 square 21⁄2" × 21⁄2" (6.5 × 6.5 cm).

Assembling the Block

Match the four aqua half-square triangles to the four white half-square triangles. Sew each pair together along the diagonal edges. Open and press. Trim each resulting square to 51⁄2" × 51⁄2" (14 × 14 cm).

Lay out the half-square triangles and the remaining cut pieces as shown (fig. 1).

Sew together the pieces in each row. Press.

Sew the rows together. Press.
