“I guess you still ain’t talkin’ to me,” he said.

“Wh-Why should I bother? It’s not like you ever l-listen to me,” his brother responded. “I t-told you not to go to her house. Not only did you go there, you broke in.”

“Nothin’ happened. I disabled her alarm. Besides she and the little girl weren’t even home.”

“Man, your rage is gonna end up gettin’ you l-locked up.”

“As long as she’s dead... I don’t care. Besides, you the one who told me I should hate Powell and his entire family. You told me that they have a sickness runnin’ in that bloodline.”

His brother uttered, “I hate being back in Georgia. I hate this p-place with a passion.”

“We’re staying in Temple for the night.”

“I thought we was going to Villa Rica,” his brother said, confusion coloring his tone.

“We are,” he responded. “We just not staying there. That town too small. Everybody knows everybody. I want to take care of business and get out.”

“Man...” his brother said. “You know who you sound like right now... you need to chill.”

“I’ll chill when I’m dead.”
